The worst humanitarian crisis in Gaza Deepens as Israeli attacks killed at least 42 people in a single day, with intensified bombarding and advancing tanks witnessed on both northern and southern districts in the blockaded territory. Medical sources pointed out that the death toll in Gaza has reached 44,330 since October 7 when the deterioration started, with more than 104,933 others injured.
This somber milestone comes at the same time that the United Nations starkly warned that Gaza is on the very cusp of famine. Two million people remain trapped, with scarce food supplies, little medical care, and no access to safe drinking water.
In Lebanon, tensions have increased as Israeli forces face allegations of breaching a delicate truce with Hezbollah. The Lebanese military cited ceasefire violations that had temporarily halted the fighting. So far, 3,961 Lebanese civilians have died and more than 16,520 others have been injured from air raids since the war started.
The situation continues dire throughout the region, as international calls for a humanitarian truce become stronger. However, there is no end to the cycle of violence, which leaves devastated communities and a growing humanitarian catastrophe in its wake.
